2024 Airdrie Mayor's Night of the Arts Performers
Airdrie Community Choir
The Airdrie Community Choir continues to share music with Airdrie and surrounding communities. This long-standing group brings together singers who share a passion for performance and community spirit. All voices are welcome, with no auditions required. As a result, it reflects the diversity and inclusivity of the region. Each year, the ensemble presents two major concerts that highlight its musical range. In addition, members regularly perform at community events, including the popular Festival of Lights. Through every appearance, the Airdrie Community Choir inspires audiences and strengthens local culture.
The Airdrie Scots Pipes & Drums
Formed in 2014, the Airdrie Scots Pipes & Drums debuted at the Alberta Summer Games opening ceremonies. Since then, the band has grown into a vibrant part of the local music scene. Rather than compete, the group focuses on performance and community engagement. Their repertoire includes everything from traditional pipe tunes to modern, orchestrated rock arrangements. New members are always welcome, regardless of experience. This inclusive approach helps foster both skill development and camaraderie. Through regular performances, the Airdrie Scots Pipes & Drums continue to energize audiences and celebrate cultural tradition.
Ambition Performing Arts Inc
Ambition Performing Arts is a Performing Arts School in Airdrie, AB offering Dance, Music, and Theatre classes for all ages and abilities. The school provides quality programming that aligns with family values—something parents can feel confident investing in. By creating a family-first atmosphere, Ambition focuses on age-appropriate development and positive, healthy training. Instructors emphasize life skills that extend far beyond the stage.
While setting the gold standard in business practices and technology, the school ensures each family can choose their level of participation. This flexibility allows students to build tailor-made schedules that match their goals and interests. Although fewer than 5% of students will pursue performing arts professionally, 100% benefit from the life skills gained. Ambition is proud to raise tomorrow’s leaders through the arts—work that truly matters.
The facility features three fully equipped studios with mirrors, barres, and sprung flooring. Two music rooms include pianos and guitars, supporting a wide range of instruction. Qualified staff nurture each student in a positive, motivational setting. Professional instructors help every child reach their potential through high-quality, caring instruction.
Hayley Isabel
Hayley Isabel is a rising singer-songwriter making bold strides in Alberta’s country music scene. She’s already capturing attention with her powerful voice and heartfelt lyrics.
Recently nominated for the Alberta Country Music Youth Horizon Award, Hayley continues to build strong connections with her audience through authentic performances. Over the past year, she has performed at major events including the Diamonds in the Rough showcase during the Canadian Country Music Awards, Calgary Stampede’s Window on the West Stage, and the Big Valley Jamboree Horizon Stage.
In addition to these milestones, she has opened for well-known local artists such as Kyle McKearney, Steve Jevne, and Christian Hudson. Each performance further highlights her talent and growing stage presence. Influenced by stars like Taylor Swift, Jackson Dean, and Lainey Wilson, Hayley blends youthful energy with a mature sound. With her passion and dedication, she’s quickly becoming one to watch in Canadian country music.
Midnight Mustangs (GMHS Jazz Combo)
The George McDougall Midnight Mustangs are a dynamic and passionate group of young musicians. Known for their versatility, they embrace a wide range of musical genres, bringing energy and creativity to every performance. Their love for animated music shines through in the high-energy concerts they perform each year. The ensemble encourages each member to infuse their unique artistic flare and passion into every show.
The true strength of the Midnight Mustangs lies in their sense of teamwork. Their collective success is rooted in their desire to support, encourage, and grow together. Thanks to strong community support, this talented group continues to make a lasting impact on Airdrie’s arts scene. Their performances bring a genuine spark to the local community.
The Nose Creek Players
Located in the heart of the city, Nose Creek Players is a dedicated ensemble of performers, directors, and creatives. Together, they bring the magic of live theatre to life with passion and purpose.
From timeless dramas to laugh-out-loud comedies, each production transforms the stage into a space for imagination and expression. The group welcomes both seasoned actors and newcomers eager to explore their talents. With every show, Nose Creek Players creates opportunities for community connection and artistic growth. Rocky Mountain Symphony Orchestra
The Rocky Mountain Symphony Orchestra (RMSO) is honoured to perform at the 2024 Airdrie Mayor’s Night of the Arts. With a mission to make orchestral music thrive in rural communities, RMSO brings high-quality classical performances beyond city limits.
Access to great music shouldn’t depend on geography. That’s why RMSO delivers rich, engaging orchestral experiences to communities surrounding Calgary. With over 35 skilled musicians, the orchestra remains adaptable and offers customizable programs tailored to every audience.
For this special event, RMSO proudly presents its String Ensemble—a standout, all-female group featuring core members of the orchestra. This talented quartet includes the Concertmaster and showcases the exceptional artistry of Anastasiia, Stephania, Erin, and Margot. Their performance promises a stunning blend of precision, emotion, and elegance. Audiences can expect a memorable musical experience that highlights the beauty and power of live strings.
